Basketball Recap: New Knoxville Takes a Loss

New Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Jennings Musketeers. The Rangers were probably out for revenge after losing 52-34 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fort Jennings, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Knoxville will head out to face off against Fort Recovery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Jennings has already played their next game (against Miller City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
