Volleyball Recap: Oak Grove's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oak Grove had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Savannah Savages. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won nine matches in a row.

One reason for the win was Oak Grove's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Piper Hudson paced Oak Grove's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hudson got some help from Emmy Brown and her 32 assists. Hudson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Oak Grove's win bumped their record up to 34-0-1. As for Savannah, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10-1.

Oak Grove has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Nevada on the 1st. Savannah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
