Football Recap: Patton Takes a Loss

Patton extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They took a blow against Hibriten, falling 62-0. While losing is never fun, Patton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Hibriten is ranked 121st).

As for Hibriten, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Dk Mitchell produced another solid effort rushing for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.7 rushing yards per game. Grady Beam also helped with two scores in total.

Patton has already played their next game, a 56-0 defeat against Chase on the 31st. As for Hibriten, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-12 win against West Caldwell on the 31st.
