League recap: Hopewell scores huge upset over New Castle

The biggest upset of the week belonged to New Castle, who took down 99th ranked New Castle, 42-16. Mike Tempalski ran for 121 yards in the win.

West Allegheny extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL AAA Parkway this week by beating Chartiers Valley, 48-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Indians.

Blackhawk's dynamic duo of Chandler Kincade and Alex Caratelli proved tough for Ambridge to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kincade threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns and Caratelli had 184 yards receiving. Cole Chiappialle helped Blackhawk's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 66 yards.

Blackhawk's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kincade has thrown for 1883 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Caratelli has 55 catches for 1043 yards. Chiappialle leads the league in rushing with 1475 yards.

He has recorded 57 catches for 922 yards this year.

The Cougars moved up to 171 from 201 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Blackhawk was able to make move up by beating the Bridgers 34-20.
