Baseball Recap: Sheffield Mighty Knights vs. Overton Wolverines

Sheffield extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-7. They lost 17-2 to the Overton Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-2 back in March.

As for Overton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games.

On Overton's side, Jercorion Wesley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wesley was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI and two stolen bases.
