Volleyball Recap: Duquoin Falls to Wayne City in First Game of Season

DuQuoin had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Wayne City by a score of 2-1 on Monday. DuQuoin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wayne City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, DuQuoin sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-9.

Coming up, DuQuoin will square off against Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wayne City, they will take on Okawville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
