Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Trinity Classical Academy walked away with it. They came out on top against the Gabrielino Eagles by a score of 47-35 on Friday. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hudson Sweitzer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 347 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. Those 347 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Carlson, who rushed for 278 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 17.4 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Trinity Classical Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 625 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Trinity Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games. As for Gabrielino, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
