Football Game Preview: Newton South Lions vs. Acton-Boxborough Revolution + Official Tickets

The Newton South Lions will challenge the Acton-Boxborough Revolution at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Newton South put up the most points they have all season on Saturday. They came out on top against Sharon by a score of 33-20. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Acton-Boxborough was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Boston Latin 51-7.

Newton South pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Acton-Boxborough, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Newton South was able to grind out a solid win over Acton-Boxborough in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 18-7. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Revolution turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
