Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Newark last Thursday, Indian Creek came back down to earth. The game between the Indian Creek Timberwolves and the Genoa-Kingston Cogs didn't end well, with the Indian Creek Timberwolves falling 66-48. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Cogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Indian Creek saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madison Boehne dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boehne has scored all season. Abby Keilman was another key player, putting up six points.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Genoa-Kingston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will welcome Illinois Math & Science Academy at 6:45 p.m. on February 10th. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will host Plano at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
