Volleyball Recap: Nogales Apaches vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros
Nogales was the 3-2 winner over Flowing Wells when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Apaches fell 3-1 to the Caballeros on Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 11-25, 25-21.
Flowing Wells was led to victory by Rhyleigh Marshall and Ashley Evano. Marshall had four digs and three aces, while Evano had 14 kills, four digs, and three aces. What's more, Marshall posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Angelica Ante also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Nogales dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Flowing Wells, they moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nogales will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buena at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Flowing Wells, they will challenge Canyon del Oro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
