Volleyball Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

Indio lost against Brawley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rajahs lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The Rajahs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Indio couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 26-24.

When it comes to explaining why Indio lost, don't look at Anitzi Zarco. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and three assists. Zarco has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 16 times she's played.

Indio's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Brawley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Indio has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Twentynine Palms on the 16th. As for Brawley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Coachella Valley on the 11th.
