Volleyball Game Preview: River Ridge Wildcats vs. East Dubuque Warriors + How To Watch

The River Ridge Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the East Dubuque Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while East Dubuque will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, River Ridge earned a 2-0 win over West Carroll. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

River Ridge easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10.

AVA KETELSEN had an outrageously good game as she had 15 kills, nine digs, three aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was ELLIE RIFE, who had 22 assists and two aces.

Meanwhile, East Dubuque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Scales Mound. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 25-19 in the first set.

East Dubuque started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 27-25.

River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 7-17-1. As for East Dubuque, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

River Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against East Dubuque in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
