Recap: Bella Vista Broncos vs. Vacaville Bulldogs
The Bella Vista Broncos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They wrapped up 2023 with a 63-44 win over Vacaville. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Bella Vista as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Ellie Thome was her usual excellent self, scoring 48 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Paige Hackman was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Vacaville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kelsey Collins, who scored 14 points. Collins scored a full 31.8% of Vacaville's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lula Kifle, who scored 12 points.
Bella Vista's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Vacaville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Bella Vista is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Vacaville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Benicia at 1:30 p.m.
