It was a good run, but Hart unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the North Muskegon Norsemen by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Norsemen this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on October 1st.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Hart sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 21-25, 15-11.

Reese Smith paced Hart's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Cali Eisenlohr and her seven assists. Smith also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Grace Tucker, each putting up two.

Hart's loss dropped their record down to 20-20-1. As for North Muskegon, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hart is set to face off against their familiar foe Fremont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Muskegon will square off against rival Hesperia at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
