Basketball Recap: Ky Walker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Harrison

There's no place like home for The Classical Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Harrison Panthers by a score of 48-39 on Saturday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Panthers are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ky Walker, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points and seven boards. Walker's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carter Miller, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Harrison's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tayten Franko, who went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points. Terrias Williams was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Harrison, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The Classical Academy has already played their next game, a 54-23 victory against Sierra on the 29th. As for Harrison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-37 win against Coronado on the 29th.
