Football Recap: Jordan Stafford and MJ Haggan Pace Plano East Defense + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Plano East took on Plano on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 17-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Wildcats since November 10, 2017.

When it comes to explaining why Plano East lost, don't look at Travis Agee. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and two scores on only 14 carries.

Plano East didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jordan Stafford and MJ Haggan.

Chance Culley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Plano, rushing for 199 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Culley is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Plano East and nudges their season record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-3 Rock Hill (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Plano, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
