Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Lafayette Christian Academy's Winning Streak

If Lafayette Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the St. Louis Catholic Saints by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Lafayette Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (111-109), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 27-25, 22-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Demi Barrett paced Lafayette Christian Academy's offense, picking up 29 kills. Barrett got some help from Kaitlyn HicKs and her 24 assists. Reese LandRy controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
