Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Patriots vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels

The Liberty Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Gorman Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Liberty is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Arbor View: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Liberty blew Arbor View out of the water with a 57-27 final score.

Satsuki Bradley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 14 points along with eight boards and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Neviah Nick, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Bishop Gorman made easy work of Desert Pines on Wednesday and carried off a 61-41 victory. The Gaels pushed the score to 50-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Bishop Gorman has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 13-7.

Liberty came up short against Bishop Gorman in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 32-25. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bishop Gorman's Addysen Carr, who earned 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.
