Baseball Recap: El Paso-Gridley Takes a Loss

The El Paso-Gridley Titans lost 15-3 to the Richwoods Knights on Thursday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

El Paso-Gridley got a good showing from Landon Raymer, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Raymer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, El Paso-Gridley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joah Knapp, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

El Paso-Gridley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Richwoods, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Coming up, El Paso-Gridley will be playing at home against LeRoy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Richwoods, they will take on Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
