St. Francis won the last time they faced Carmel and things went their way on Monday too. The Sharks managed a 19-14 win over the Padres. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Liliana Whitmeyer produced another solid effort throwing for 228 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 52 yards and one score.

St. Francis' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Keira Grio, Evonna Jordan, and Cami Madrigal, who each picked up one sack apiece. Grio was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 14 total tackles.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, St. Francis will head out to face off against Hollister at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carmel, they will welcome Watsonville at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Padres are facing the Wildcatz at the right time seeing as the Wildcatz are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
