The Moravia Blue Devils will challenge the Groton Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Moravia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

Moravia came up short against Cortland on Friday, falling 7-1. The game marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Moravia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Corbett, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Groton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-7 to Southern Cayuga.

Colin Brockway was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Brockway was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Brockway is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Moravia fell to 6-1. As for Groton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Groton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Moravia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Groton, though, as they've only averaged .202. Will they be able to contain Moravia's hitters?

Moravia beat Groton 7-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2019. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
