Basketball Game Preview: Myrtle Hawks vs. Ingomar Falcons

Myrtle is 1-9 against Ingomar since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hawks will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Myrtle didn't have quite enough to beat New Albany and fell 53-51.

Meanwhile, Ingomar put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Thrasher with a sharp 75-50 victory. The Falcons pushed the score to 64-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rebels cut but never quite recovered from.

Ingomar's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Myrtle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Myrtle took a serious blow against Ingomar in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 56-21. Thankfully for the Hawks, Macie Phifer (who went 6-for-8 en route to 16 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
