Soccer Recap: South Davidson Comes Up Short

South Davidson fell victim to Bishop McGuinness and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Villains, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, South Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 584th, while Bishop McGuinness are ranked 175th).

This is the second loss in a row for South Davidson and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-2 record this season.

South Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy on the 16th. As for Bishop McGuinness, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 victory against South Stokes on the 14th.
