Basketball Recap: Kendall Seiwerth and Evie Barth Secure Win for Cloverleaf

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Name, Cloverleaf was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 66-55 win over the Revere Minutemen. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Minutemen are ranked 403rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cloverleaf was led to victory by Evie Barth and Kendall Seiwerth. Barth shot 63% from the field en route to 25 points in addition to six assists and four steals, while Seiwerth dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barth has scored at least a third of the Colts' points. Makinsey Bayer was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Cloverleaf's record now sits at 9-2. As for Revere, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Cloverleaf will head out on the road to take on Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Revere, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Copley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
