Softball Game Preview: Van Horn Eagles vs. Forsan Buffaloes

The Van Horn Eagles will take on the Forsan Buffaloes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Van Horn is looking for their season's first victory.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Van Horn faced off against Reagan County on Saturday. Van Horn came up short against Reagan County, falling 21-4.

Van Horn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Sanchez, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forsan). Their pitcher stepped up to hand McCamey a 25-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Badgers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Forsan got a massive performance out of Scout Stockton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. That's the most hits Stockton has posted since back in February. Maddie Roach was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Forsan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCamey only managed three hits.

Forsan's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Van Horn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
