Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian lost against Notre Dame back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Fighting Irish.

While Heritage Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.

Piper Fryer had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 25 digs, six kills, and five aces for Notre Dame. That's the most digs Fryer has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Fittro, who had 14 digs and six aces.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Notre Dame, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will face off against Morgantown Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame, they will challenge Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
