Hubbard got themselves on the board against Lakeview on Friday, but Lakeview never followed suit. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Hubbard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braydon Songer out in front who threw for 308 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and one score. Songer also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Michael Hazimihalis was Songer's top target, picking up 34 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 39 yards and a pair of TDs.

Hubbard didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rome Odem and Nolan Bentley.

The victory was the third in a row for Hubbard, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for Lakeview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Hubbard and Lakeview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 176th) will meet Girard (ranked 48th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakeview will take on Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (394 vs. 72).
