Football Recap: Denver East Angels vs. Denver South Ravens

Denver East had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it nine. They lost 27-7 to the Denver South Ravens. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Angels struggled afterwards.

Declan Macdonald threw for 140 yards and one touchdown. Jeremiah Fitz was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Khairoh Johnson rushed for 46 yards.

As for Denver South, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29th (when they won 34-10).

Daniel Lucado had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 244 yards and three TDs while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Denver South's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't).

As of now, neither Denver East nor the Ravens have any future games scheduled.
