It was a good run, but Poudre unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broomfield Eagles. If the Impalas were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Poudre's offense was headlined by Addilyne Forest and Maggie Foster, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Morgan Huffman and her five assists. Finally, Foster was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Broomfield was led to victory by Brooklyn Kessler and Tatum Clodius. Kessler had 14 assists and seven digs, while Clodius had seven digs and two aces. Kessler is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Broomfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Poudre will be playing at home against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Broomfield, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Horizon on the 7th.
