Football Game Preview: Torrey Pines Falcons vs. Poway Titans + Official Tickets

The Torrey Pines Falcons will square off against the Poway Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Torrey Pines is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Torrey Pines came up short against La Costa Canyon and fell 31-20. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Mavericks are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Poway also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Rancho Bernardo by a score of 32-21.

Torrey Pines will need to focus on slowing down Noah Schuback, one of several Poway players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also punched in one rushing score.

Poway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Torrey Pines, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-6.

Torrey Pines strolled past Poway in their previous meeting back in October by a score of 40-22. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Titans' Luke Jorgensen, who rushed for 101 yards and one TD.
