Volleyball Recap: South Iron Panthers vs. Winona Wildcats
South Iron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Winona Wildcats. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-7.
Despite the defeat, South Iron saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Breanna Morehead had ten digs.
South Iron's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Winona, their win bumped their record up to 31-4.
Looking ahead, South Iron will welcome Viburnum at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winona, they will head out on the road to face off against Leopold at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
