Ola typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Locust Grove proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since September 11th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Locust Grove who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 16-14.

Jorie Young paced Locust Grove's offense, picking up four kills. Young got some help from Avril Tomme and her ten assists. Tomme was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Locust Grove's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 20-9-1. As for Ola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-13 record this season.

Locust Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy on the 11th. Ola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
