Elkhorn entered their tilt with Burlington on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Demons get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Elks, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elkhorn pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Burlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn will face off against Union Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Burlington, they will challenge Waterford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Demons surely won't give up without a fight.
