With a playoff win on the line, Prairie Ridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-30 victory over the Vernon Hills Cougars. The win was just business as usual for the Wolves, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.

Vernon Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Colin McMurray, who rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 129 yards and one TD on only 12 passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 81 yards. Giuseppe Urso was another key player, rushing for 51 yards and a pair of scores.

Prairie Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Vernon Hills, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

As of now, neither Prairie Ridge nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
