Football Game Preview: Chichester Eagles vs. Chester Clippers

For the first time this season, Chichester will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Chester Clippers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Chichester came up short against West Catholic last Friday, falling 28-6. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Chester put their dominant defense on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dunbar 36-0. Considering the Clippers have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Chester didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jalen Harris and Je'Quazz Vicks-Reams.

Chester's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Chichester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Chichester was dealt a bruising 49-7 defeat at the hands of Chester in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 27-7.
