Baseball Recap: Fruita Monument Takes a Loss

The Fruita Monument Wildcats lost 11-5 to the Bishop Manogue Miners on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake Elsberry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Fruita Monument's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Bishop Manogue, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Fruita Monument will take on Grandview at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Manogue, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-1 victory against Columbine on the 22nd.
