Baseball Recap: St. Francis Red Raiders vs. Nichols Vikings

St. Francis waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Nichols Vikings. That's more bragging rights for St. Francis, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anthony Venditti made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Venditti was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Luke Rybczynski was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jack Homer was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
