Basketball Recap: Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Comes Up Short

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-44 loss at the hands of the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1260th, while the Conquerors are ranked 296th).

Augustine Youssef continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Desert Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Youssef has scored at least a third of Desert Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Garrison, who went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Desert Christian Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will venture away from home to face off against California Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Christian Academy, they will host Santa Rosa Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
