The measure of any great team is how it responds to adversity.

So far so good for the Duncanville Panthers.

After suffering an 81-77 loss to Richardson on Valentine's Day — Duncanville's first loss in 20 games — the Panthers responded with a pair of impressive wins, at Molina (80-40) and at home against South Grand Prairie, 68-56, to advance to the second round of the State 6A Region 1 & 3 tournament.

Duncanville, ranked 21st nationally, awaits the winner of Byron Nelson against Lewisville.

Second-ranked Allen started fast and ended strong in a 69-44 win at McKinney, outscoring the Lions 48-29 in the first and last quarters.

The state's No. 7 team John Paul II improved to 38-1, but it wasn't easy, pulling out a 52-49 win over Bishop Lynch.

Below is a full look at the Top 25. The rankings are updated every Tuesday and Friday.
