Football Game Preview: Skaneateles Lakers vs. Westhill Warriors + How To Watch

The Skaneateles Lakers are taking a road trip to take on the Westhill Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Westhill took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Skaneateles, who comes in off a win.

Skaneateles took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 win over Solvay. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Westhill didn't have quite enough to beat Bishop Ludden on Friday and fell 34-32.

Westhill's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.6 points over those games. As for Skaneateles, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Skaneateles against Westhill in their previous matchup back in September of 2018, as the team secured a 49-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
