DeSoto County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Bonita Springs on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Bullsharks. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ellie Whidden, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Emery Skinner was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

DeSoto County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Bonita Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
