Baseball Game Preview: Conemaugh Township Indians vs. River Valley Panthers

The Conemaugh Township Indians will face off against the River Valley Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. River Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Conemaugh Township, who comes in off a win.

Conemaugh Township is headed out to face River Valley after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Conemaugh Township skirted past Homer-Center 7-5.

Reed Conn was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

River Valley kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conemaugh Valley. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

River Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Dinger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Conemaugh Township was able to grind out a solid win over River Valley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 6-1. Will Conemaugh Township repeat their success, or does River Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
