Friendship Christian had won 13 straight home games dating back to last season and Kyla Scharfman did her part to make it 14 on Tuesday. The Commanders put the hurt on the Davidson Academy Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Scharfman, who had ten digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-18.
Friendship Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Davidson Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.
Coming up, Friendship Christian will challenge Goodpasture Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davidson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
