Baseball Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Salesian College Preparatory and St. Patrick-St. Vincent had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Salesian College Preparatory Pride came up short against the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pride of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Salesian College Preparatory saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Junior Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That hit was Rodriguez's first of the season. Another was Joe Tarin, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Salesian College Preparatory's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Salesian College Preparatory will face off against Elite at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they will be playing at home against Berean Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berean Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
