Soccer Game Preview: Thetford Academy vs. Lake Region

Thetford Academy hasn't had much luck against Lake Region recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. Thetford Academy's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Thetford Academy fell victim to U-32 and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Thetford Academy have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Lake Region can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They and Lyndon Institute finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result was nothing new for Lake Region as the squad haven't won a game since September 16th.

Lake Region's draw makes their record 1-10-2 this season. As for Thetford Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Thetford Academy came up short against Lake Region in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
