McMichael waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Rockingham County Cougars 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

McMichael was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17, 25-19.

McMichael's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carrington Vaughn led the charge by getting four digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Emily Smith, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: McMichael was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 14-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

McMichael's record is now 18-9. As for Rockingham County, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

McMichael has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Grimsley on the 8th. As for Rockingham County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Morehead on the 7th.
