Volleyball Game Preview: Millennium Lions vs. Jackson Day Mariners

The Millennium Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Jackson Day Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millennium will be strutting in after a win while Jackson Day will be coming in after a defeat.

Millennium is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out South Davidson 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since September 4th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Millennium who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Jackson Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against NCSSM: Morganton, falling 3-0.

Jackson Day might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on NCSSM: Morganton: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Jackson Day's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Millennium, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
