It was a good run, but Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. Neither they nor the Grossmont Foothillers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result kept the Spartans happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Lionel Cordova and Mishel Villanueva scored both of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Central's draw gives them a new season record of 8-0-2. As for Grossmont, they moved theirs to 2-4-2.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Chula Vista on the 21st. Grossmont has also already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Granite Hills on the 21st.
