Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

While Milan had to take the loss, they sure made a game of it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15.

Greenwood Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Kate Reed, who had 11 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Reed has posted since back in August.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Borden the next time they take the court. Greenwood Christian Academy will head out to face Borden at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Milan will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
