Lake Stevens has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mariner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Lake Stevens will be playing in front of their home fans against Mariner at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lake Stevens' last matchup with Glacier Peak could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. Lake Stevens came up short against Glacier Peak, falling 11-4. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lake Stevens got a good showing from Charli Pugmire, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Pugmire has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Alaina Emme made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Reese Breckenridge, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Mariner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent.

Mariner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Lake Stevens took their win against Mariner in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Does Lake Stevens have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mariner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
